District Payroll Services

District Payroll Services provides services, support, and assistance in the areas of payroll and retirement reporting to 18 school districts, 15 charter schools, and the 大象传媒 Costa County Community College. Additionally, this department processes over 150,000 warrants and more than 15,000 W-2s annually for 16 school districts.
Our areas of responsibility include:

  • Liaison between county auditor/treasurer personnel and district personnel
  • Assistance in payroll calculations, adjustments and processing
  • Payment and reporting of state and federal payroll taxes
  • Preparation of W-2’s
  • Worker’s compensation payments and abatements
  • Audit and process State Teachers' and Public Employees' Retirement Systems (STRS and PERS) reports
  • Audit and process payment and reporting of state unemployment insurance
  • Processing of wage garnishments (IRS levy, Franchise Tax Board, Child Support)
  • Payroll calendar
  • Processing of direct deposit (ACH)
  • Distribution of payroll warrants and payroll reports
