We are committed to educating the whole child. Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) is an integral part of a high-quality, well-rounded educational foundation. CCCOE supports districts as they implement VAPA content standards, integrate VAPA into core curriculum, and develop STEAM programs that endeavor to engage all students.
Our services include:
* Support for customized high-quality Professional Learning.
* Coaching and Leadership support with Arts and Music in Schools Funding implementation.
* Facilitating a CCCOE Arts Convening, a countywide collaboration with representatives from districts throughout, focused on relevant updates from federal and state agencies and improving teaching and learning.

On November 8, 2022, California voters approved Proposition 28: The Arts and Music in Schools (AMS) Funding Guarantee and Accountability Act. The measure required the state to establish a new, ongoing program supporting arts instruction in schools beginning in 2023–24. CCCOE supports districts in strategic arts planning through regular Arts Convenings with district arts leaders. | We are excited to announce the start of our CCCOE Strategic Arts Plan! Tracy McManus, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Coordinator, organized two days of planning sessions led by an outside facilitator. Peggy Burt, Mindful Strategies Consultant, is a co-author of the Strategic Arts Planning Guide, 4th Edition, used nationwide. The sessions included 18 participants ranging from educators to local artists, VAPA Coordinators, and 大象传媒 Costa County art organizations. This initiative aligns with our commitment to Creativity and Innovation and Educational Equity, ensuring diverse perspectives and promoting a thriving learning community in the arts! |
