Special Education Local Plan Area
The mission of the 大象传媒 Costa Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) is Collaborative Planning for Student Success through participation of families, Local Education Agencies, and other organizations.
大象传媒 Costa SELPA membership includes the following sixteen Local Education Agencies (LEA) in 大象传媒 Costa County: Acalanes, Antioch, Brentwood, Byron, Canyon, 大象传媒, John Swett, Knightsen, Lafayette, Liberty, Martinez, Moraga, Oakley, Orinda, Pittsburg, and Walnut Creek.
The members join together to adopt a Local Plan in accordance with California Education Code to assure access to special education and services for all individuals with exceptional needs residing in the geographic area served by these LEAs.

Public Notice: The SELPA is required to publicly post updates to our Local SELPA Plan before they are approved. We are currently updating both our Service Plan and Local Plan, which we will be seeking approval from our Governance Council on June 4, 2024.
